Role

You’ll build the core product experience on the web and desktop for Pocket, owning features end-to-end from UI to backend integration.

You’ll work closely with design, backend, and AI to ship fast, high-quality iterations that users feel immediately. You’ll join a small, high-output team that ships at the level of world-class consumer tech companies.

Responsibilities

Product Engineering (Web)

• Build and ship user-facing features in a modern web stack (TypeScript + React/Next.js or similar).
• Own full-stack delivery: UI, API integration, data models, and performance.
• Design intuitive workflows for core product surfaces (capture, search, organization, sharing, settings).
• Integrate real-time experiences (live updates, streaming states) when needed.
• Create high-quality component systems and reusable patterns that keep velocity high.
• Optimize for performance: bundle size, caching, rendering, perceived latency.
• Implement analytics and experimentation (feature flags, A/B tests) to guide iteration.

Collaboration & Craft

• Partner with design to deliver beautiful, accessible, and polished UI.
• Work with backend to define APIs, error contracts, and end-to-end reliability.
• Write clear documentation for key decisions and trade-offs.
• Contribute to CI/CD and release processes to ship safely and frequently.
